Dragons

There are 3 types of known dragons and 2 types of unknown dragons in the world of Terra Nima. (Before the end of the Brotherhood Wars)

Known Breeds

Poison Wyrm

As opposed to breathing an iconic Dragon Breath Weapon that does brute force damage of a particular type, Poison Wyrm's Breath Weapons are poisonous. This poison has a variety of effects that can vary from one victim to another.

Blindness

Berzerk

Muteness

Confusion

Paralysis

Slow

And General Poison (One type of ability drain)

Basically a Poison Wyrm's presence is generally bad for the surrounding environment and ecosystem. It has a foul aura around it that seems to eat away at all vegetation, causing them to rot.

Frost Wyrm

Usually the most cunning of the three known breeds. And arguably more powerful than the Flame Wyrms... but that is because there are more places for Frost Wyrms to live than there are places that Flame Wyrms to call home.

Of the Three, Frost Wyrms are more likely to interact and be apart of mortal society than their other two brethren; though usually it is behind the scenes.

Flame Wyrm

Flame Wyrms have the disadvantage of being the type of Dragon most people know of from Ancient Lore and Stories. People tend to be a bit more prepared for Flame Wyrms than the other types of Dragons... relatively speaking. No Dragon is easily prepared for. However, because of this, usually younger Flame Wyrms are encountered in the wild, which gives the people the mistaken impression that they are weaker than the Frost Wyrms. The Older, more wise Flame Wyrms live in general isolation, but are definitely not to be trifled with.

Flame Wyrms tend to live in dormant Volcanoes or other warm mountain climate regions.

Lesser Known Breeds

Desert Wyrm

So far, only a couple of these have been encountered in recorded history. These Lightning breathing Dragons tend to live underground in massive hot Deserts. They burrow just as well as they can fly, and have been mistaken as actual giants worms.

The Desert Wyrm are the more viscous of the recorded types of Dragon's which helps them keep their anonymity... almost no one who encounter one live to tell the tale.

Ocean Wyrm

While these Dragons are just as effective at flying as their cousins, Ocean Wyrms tend to stay in the deep of the ocean, hunting marine life for food. They are as unknown as these magnificent acid breathing creatures are to the surface world as they are known to the sentient life that live bellow in the great deep.
