Natuna: The "New World"

(Nor Ashkharh) 

A world of limited magic.

 

In this day in age, the cosmology is very different then it would be on Terra Ora or Terra Nima.

 

The only two planes that seem to exist is the Material plane, and the Shadow Zone.

 

Terra Mana is somewhat Vulnerable to the Shadow Zone. Using too much magic would threaten the balance of the veil that separates the two worlds. This is why the Wizards Coven was created, to govern all things magic, and to keep the veil from being torn.

Magic items are incredibly rare in this time period. The knowllege to create them is all but lost. (Or perhaps more accuratly, it hasn't been found yet)

This makes magic users all the more powerful and feared. The few that there are, most people don't understand them.

Working title

Natuna: The "New World" is not the entire planet. Infact it is a small region compared to the rest of the planet, Terra Mana.

 

It is here where the begining of the Campain starts.

Chervena Sea

A massive body of water on the north eastern edge of the known world.

Uttara (Northland) (Norden)

Woodshire

Unoficial Capitol of Uttara. This is where the different representatives from all over Uttara rule it.

 

This is also near the location where the PC's start out at.

West Haven

Another town in Uttara. It is a major trade and mercantile outpost in the north.

 

It is also the closest town to the Barren Lowlands.

Barren Lowlands

A Narrow Valley that provides the only means through the Great Norden Barrier to Daksina

Norden Mountains

A mountain range that represents the southern border of Uttara and separates it from Daksina.

 

It is also the location of Norden's Great Barrier, a magical barrier that separates Uttara and the rest of the known world.

Daksina (Southland) (Sudland) (Selatan)

Naradyl

The Largest city in Southland is Naradyl... home to both the United Soverence Council and the Wizard's Coven Tower. From here, All of Southland is maintained and this is where the peace is attempted to be kept. In times of war, this serves as the Capital of Southland. Thier symbolic animal was the Lion.

Chelton

Chelton, the horselands. Like the nickname suggests, this land is home to a large number of Horses. The Chelts who live here make a life of living with the horse. As such, the most honorable and notable soldiers here are Cavaliers or other form of horsemen.

Nersia

Nersia, the land of the Druids. This "Kingdom" is home to a people who care for the land as a whole and all that is natural. Their symbolic animal is the White Stag. The people of these lands often have a deer as an animal companion.

Azemmour

Azemmour, known for its advanced weaponry and renouned blacksmiths. It is due to its rather large military force. Thier symbolic animal was the Wolf.

Common Kingdoms

Located between Nersia and Chelton and Naradyle. Kingdoms much smaller in size compared to Chelton or Azzemour.

Selatan Mountains

A mountain range that runs through the middle of Daksina (West North West to East South East)

 

This is also the location of Mount Ulymp, one of the tallest mountains in Natuna.

Estrada

The Mountain Kingdom. A race of Barbarian Clans occupies this region. When not at war, the Estra fight amongst themselves for control over the roads through their territories. When a Clan has control, they Tax it and collect Toll. They are obsessed with fighting. When an external threat emerges though, they ban together to face it as one. Their symbolic animal is the Boar.

Talea

Talea, the Hill Country. Here, most of the kingdom lies in a region of great hills and mountains. The People learned to survive here and their symbolic animal is the Eagle. They are a nomadic tribal race that ride atop horses as light calvery. A race of rangers who live in a the great plains of (need name) . This great expanse fills much of (location) as the people of Talea  wonder in their endless search for (Large dinosaurs?) and foolish intruders.Those who wish to travel in the lands of the Talea must first anounce thier pressence and perform a ritual before a elder of the tribes of talea. Those who fail to perform these task are hunted down and executed.

Penchura

Taskara, Tirutan, Varas, Magnanakaw, Dieb, Thipha, Penchura, Dorobo, Kradecot

Desert setting. Land of Thieves ruled by a Sultan. Symbolic animal is a scorpion.

Simya

The Port city of (name) serves as the capital of the land of simya, home to its many universities.

 

Kimiti, Kīmiyagīrī, Renkinjutsu, alhimiya, Racavātam, simya, Arbordale (is a city).

Darsana (mayan Civilization) (snake)

Ruled by a caste of priests, the people of darsana are a religious people who worship the 13 headed snake god (name). The (capital city) of the darsana consists of 13 temples 1 for each head of (name) lead by 13 grand priests of (name). The land of darsan is the jungle of (name) a place many not native to the land of darsana find a feverious death

Sudosa (Sometimes Peninsula)

This land mass is an Island for most of the year, but for a short time during the year it is a peninsula allowing land acsess. Otherwise it is difficult to get to as the land mass is surrounded by rocky cliffs and terrain. This is home to a sect of Monk's (european style) who chose to live in such isolation.

Xantia Mountains

Mountain range that represents the eastern boarder of Daksina and separates it from Xantonia.

 

This is also where the Xantia's Great Barrier is located. A magical barrier that separates Daksina and Xantonia


Xantia Mountains are also home to an abandoned Dwarven underground city, Divak Pruchod, which serves as a less obvious way through the mountain range into Xantonia.

Mokado Highlands

Location of the Founder's Citadel, the Capitol of the Xantonian Empire

Mitte Mountains

A mountain range that spans the southern boarder of Xantonia, meeting up with the Xantia Mountains in the south west and goes east north east a ways until it emptys out into the ocean.

The Umbralands (Umbra Terra)

The Umbraland Wall

The Southern Border to both Xantonia and Daksina. This region has been exposed to the Shadow Zone via tearing of the veil. To keep the monsters that come from these dark lands from ravaging northward, the Kingdoms of old errected a great Wall to keep them at bay.

 

Today, this serves as the only remaining operation that the Daksinian Alliance recognizes. Everywhere else, the Alliance bonds are breaking apart. However, here they still rally together to defend the wall, even though it has been quiet for the past few centuries.
