Time: Over 15 years after the end of the Two Century War; over 16 1/2 years after the events of Voidfire and the Scrolls of Andloft.

The Eve of the Day of Wodahs.

Location: Qeteshrhea, Palace of Horeusa, Throne Room.

Up until this point, Terra Nima didn't have a Halloween. It wouldn't be till after these events Haloween was born. Halloween, at conception was a day of fear. It wouldn't be for a long time after that the day would be joyous.

Here, Halloween signifys the Eve of the Day of Wodahs. The day that the Church turned on the people who did not believe in the Creator. The Day the Church attempted to take over.

After Xeik had made his startling anouncment that Wodahs was returning, the Intercontnental War was meaningless. Alectoris withdrew her invading army back to the East Continent, beleaving Xeik was serving a higher purpose.

Mirdan had taken everyone (Xeik, Qrom, Magnus, Taliana, Kaveroth[not Aura... she is not there yet]) back to his tower.

"Your sword is certainly something extraordinary, Xeik." Mirdan commented, "for it detected something wrong before my initial attempts to do so."

"Well... it is essencialy the physical representation of my father." Xeik responded, "And Wodahs was the one to put him in such a state."

"Indeed." Mirdan agreed.

He then turned to everyone, "I do sense the divine energies being drained away from the world... I just cannot pinpoint where. Perhaps if I meditate in my Scrying chamber... I may be able to shed some light on the current situation... now... where did I put that room... it's been so long since I have had to use that chamber I may have forgotten where I put it."

Mirdan reaches out with one of his hands haphzardly and out of one of the towers of books from the maze of them fly from its home without disturbing the rest and arrives in his hands.

He opens the book and puts on his spectacles, thumbing through the pages. "Let's see... table of contents...or was it the index? Bags I have the wrong book!"

He tosses the book aside, as soon as it leaves his possesion, it flys back into place into the maze of book towers.

After a few more moments of this, he finally has a realization and snaps his fingers. Sparks fly from Mirdan's right shoulder, and a moment later, his eagle animal companion apears on the same shoulder from the sparks.

"You called?" The Eagle asks his master.

"Where the bags did I put that Scrying room of mine?" Mirdan responds.

"No need to curse, Grand Wizard Mirdan." The Eagle responds.

"Bags you- err... I mean fine. Do you remember where I put it?" Mirdan corrects himself.

"Indeed." The Eagle answers, "As you know, you put me in charge of minding the tower for the past thousands years. It is difficult work you know, to keep up with all of your research and hobbies and the like."

"Yes, yes, you do a good job, now where is that Scrying Room of mine?" Mirdan insists.

"Why I'd be happy to oblige you master," The Eagle Starts.

He then takes a moment to catch its breath and thought.

You all remember the first time you met Mirdan's Eagle many years ago. At the time, you could hardly believe that this animal could talk, much less have the intelligence it displayed. Now it almost seemed natural... almost...

"You placed it above your study, where all the arcane energies converge through the tower... a perfect place for such a Scrying room if I remember."

"Above the study?" Mirdan asks... "But this is the study."

"Very astute, Master."

"I could have sworn above us is the roof..." Mirdan pondered, "Are you sure that's where-"

"Possitivly, Master."

"Ah... i see... so how do I get up there again?"

The Eagle on Mirdan's shoulder rolled its eyes, "You know more about what's in these books than you do about your tower... It's what you get for spending so much time alone in here..."

"Bags Eagle... It's been over a thousand years since I created this tower. That's a long time for a human... even a Wizard."

"I have a name, Master." The Eagle responded.

"I know that!" Mirdan argued.

"Indeed?" The Eagle questioned.

"Give me a minute, it'll come to me."

"Simply step on the Magic circle, you can go to the Scrying room using it just like almost everywhere else in the Tower."

"Ah yes... I knew that!"

"Of course you did, Master."

Mirdan steps on to the Magic circle and turns around.

"Give me a minute... this could take a while" Mirdan informs, "Don't touch anything while I'm gone!"

Mirdan and his animal companion vanish with a crack.

You barely had a moment to blink before Mirdan popped back into the room, this time without his animal companion.

"Sorry that took so long." Mirdan apologized, "But it was like looking for a needle in a hay stack..."

"What did you find out?" Magnus asked the Grand First Wizard.

"Not much I am afraid." Mirdan responded, "All I was able to do was track the drain of the Divine Energies... but I was only able track them as far as the Temporal Energy Plane. After that, it goes beyond my vision.

A voice errupts through the Tower, the same as the Eagles, "Sir, you have two very important guests."

"Now's not a good time," Mirdan responded.

"I am afraid they have insisted... They are currently outside your study inside the tower."

"You let them in?" Mirdan asked.

"It could not be helped, Master..." the Eagle answered, "They are very..."

Just then the study doors unlock and open by themselves.

"... resourcful." The Eagle finished.

On the other side of the door where two figures. One tall and gracful, while the short one looked like he had just picked a lock.

"Oh..." Mirdan did not look suprised, "Auristrix... Jaymus Nickelbottom... I'd might have known..."

The Reunion was one that was bitter sweet.

After greetings where exchanged... things got down to business."

"So what honor do I have you breaking into my home?" Mirdan asked with composure.

Jaymus reffered to the Great Wyrm Gold Dragon in human form.

"I have a message from someone Dear to all of us." Aura responds, "Everyone must come to the Temple of Oreah."

"The one you built ten years ago?" Xeik asked.

Aura nodded, gold eyes holding with conviction.

"Who sent the message?" Taliana asked.

Aura took a deep breath before answering.

"Tordek."
