This page is for me. This is the last part of the current campaign we are playing. This takes place before the story idea page.

And now, the continuation…

You arrive back at the tower of time and space. The gate behind you starts crackling before it shuts off.

Okay so we are back here. Where to?

Murta comments, “Lets try that Sliph thing.”

When you look out the window, you notice that outside, time seemed still. You also notice a disturbing sight. Down bellow outside the grove, you see among other people, Mirdan. He was also frozen in time, however you see him in the middle of casting a spell.

“We don’t have much time.” Murta Comments, “Before Mirdan will breach through the towers defenses. We better hurry.”

You make your way down to the sliph room.

Responding to your staff, either that or Murta’s pendant, The Sliph appears.

“You wish to travel Master?” She asks.

Murta responds, “Can you take us to the new world?”

The Sliph frowns a bit, like she is confused, “I am not aware of such a place.”

“Right…” Murta says under her breath, “That’s not the actual name… What about the Outer Continent?”

The Sliph smiles, “Ah, yes. I can go to many places there.”

“Where exactly?” Murta asks.

The Sliph’s faces falls into a sad expression, “I’m sorry, but I cannot betray the locations of places that you do not know of.”

Murta turns to you, “Did that vision of yours tell you where it was, Xeck was located?”

After the shaking of heads.

(Can’t you teleport us there?

Murta: I have never been there before. If I had atleast a somewhat accurate description of the place I could take us there in a heartbeat.)

“Phantoon.” A dark and eerie voice says.

When you all look behind you, you see the the all too familiar face of the one you had destroyed in Magnus’ Study many days ago. His glowing blue eyes around that skull of a face. The Litch.

Everyone raises their weapons.(Dukat Dammar)

“Yes Master, I can take you there.” The Sliph says behind you.

“Relax,” The Litch says, “I, for once… mean you no harm.”

What?

“I am aware of the Situation that we are all facing.” He says, “I am also aware that we are the only ones in the universe that have the willpower to face it.”

“The way I see it. We have the same goal in mind. Instead of working against each other, we should help each other. I think we will have a better chance of that working together.”

“In other words… We can kill each other AFTER we save the universe. I’d like to live in it as much as you do. Or unlive…”

Why are you not under the control of the AntiLord?

He responds, “I was protected by the tower. Since Magnus and his staff were protected… So was I.”

“You wish to travel to Phantoon of the Outer Continent, Master?” The Sliph repeats.

“As you can see. I have provided a way for you to get to the New World.” The Litch says.

What is your name?

“Dukat Dammar” he says.

Just then the who tower shakes.

Murta tells you. “They have broken through! Let’s get out of here!”

You feel rapture, as it was the first time you traveled in the Sliph. Passage of Time is hard to determine in this state. Distance and place is also hard to determine. Mainly all you see is a sea of colors all around you streaking by.

Suddenly, you hear a clap of energy, however distorted; like you are listening it from under water. The rapture abruptly turns to pain, as you see a distorted Antiverse rift appear near you, inside the Sliph. Out comes an enormous beast, larger than anything you have ever seen, the shape of which is also distorted, like you are looking at him through water.

The Beast attacks.

Encounter Anti-Ling Wyrm, inside the Sliph.

3D encounter.

Movement in any direction requires a concentration check or else will move double the distance or more. Moving out of range will automatically kick the player out of the encounter.

Talking won’t work in this environment. The “Air” is too thick.

If magic is used, instead of the desired effect, pain will spread to everyone in the Sliph. Afterwards everyone needs to make a balance check or else be thrown in a random direction.

Physical attacks take penalties. Half strength modifier and half damage if hits.

Also if Hit, another balance check is needed or else thrown forward.

Anti-Ling Wyrm takes no penalties as it is an expert in space.

Pretty soon, all the PC’s will be thrown from the battle.

Blackness surrounds you, as well as overwhelming pain. Your muscles seem too heavy to move.

“Breathe.” A voice tells you.

But you don’t want to. It seems as though breathing would bring too much pain, and it would be easier to just suffocate than to go through that overwhelming sense of pain.

“Breathe,” She repeats.

Will Save.

The importance of your mission flashes before you. You Exhale through the pain. You feel blood soaked balls of stuff exit your lungs. The pain is almost unbearable. You are afraid to breathe in. You want to just lay there.

“You must Breathe,” The voice continues.

Will Save.

Again the fleeting memory of the things you must do crosses your mind. You try opening your lungs. At first it’s as though the wind has been knocked out of you and you wouldn’t be able to take a breath ever again.

Finally it comes. You breathe in. It’s as though you were breathing in knives down your throat. But unlike the previous pain, this wave of pain came with strength.

The next breath is easier than the last. Less pain comes with them and more strength.

Color starts filling your vision.

You feel like you are on a stone surface. You see the Sliph’s form floating over you. You follow her floating trail of living quick silver to the ground. You are on some sort of stone road. The Quick Silver is seeping through the cracks.

The Sliph looks to be in pain.

“Breathe” She says, “and get up! Quickly! It is coming!”

As you all stumble to your feet, you notice that she starts melting into the cracks between the stones in the road.

“The beast violated my sanctuary.” She says. “No one should ever do that without asking. I wasn’t able to carry you to your destination. Because of the Beast, I could no longer keep you all alive, so I had to bring you to an emergency port, before you died.”

“The Beast is coming…” She says as she completely melts into the ground.

“Where are we?” Dukat asks.

Murta responds, “We are in the Port City of Crocmire, on a Large Island West of Tiernas.”

You had barely come to your senses and you hear another rift opening overhead. The Same beast emerges, only this time you can more clearly see it.

It vaguely resembles a Dragon.

“Anti-Ling!” Murta yells out.

Roll for Initiative

When Dukat’s turn comes up, He casts Time Stop.

To the players perspective, passage of time continues normally. However they see many spells go off at the same time on the dragon.

Dukat Dammar says “That’s not good. Elemental spells have no effect on it.”

“Let me try” Murta responds.

A ring of 6 colors appears around Murta (as a free Action) Then as her first standard action the pole of light and dark appear. And as her last standard action, the final element of Void appears in her hand. The 9 elements combine immediately forming into an orb of Xell.

The next round, Dukat will attempt to cast other kinds of spells on it, like gate, temporal stasis, and Mordenkainen’s Disjunction. Neither will work.

Murta will use her Orb of Xell as her first standard action. When that doesn’t work on it, “Damn” she says.

She delays her move.

“That should have worked on an Anti-Ling.” Dukat comments.

“Let me try something Else.” Murta responds.

Murta holds out her hand face up. She yells out “Space!”

An inverted Shockwave rushes and collapses into her open hand, once there, there is a Green Ethereal Cube.

“Time!” she commands, for a moment, it seems like time slows down as energy from the surrounding area collates into a ball in the same space as the Cube.

On Dukats’s next move her casts the spell, Detonate.then Death, and Prismatic sphere up in the air. The creature goes right through it.

On Murta’s turn she then speaks out, “Thought!”

Energy seeps out of her brain and into the sphere/Cube and forms into a tetrahedron. The three shapes fuze into a glowing green orb.

She then casts Orb of Nytro at the Creature.

No effect.

“How is that possible?” Dukat yells.

Murta Responds, “Looks like it’s a fusion between an Anti-Ling and a normal Dragon from this universe. It’s Anti-Ling mind is protecting it from the Elements, while it’s Dragon body is protecting it from the Anti-Elements. Even I am not strong enough as it is to harm it.”

On Dukat’s Turn, “How do we defeat it?” Dukat asks in desperation.

“I have an Idea.” Murta responds.

Murta’s turn.

In one hand, an Orb of Xell appears.

In the other hand, an Orb of Nytro appears.

The proximity of the two balls. Is causing energy all around you to go crazy, as the two forms of energy don’t want to touch.

Murta Delays her final action.

The Dragon Anti-Ling dives down and prepares to use its breath weapon.

Just as it opens its mouth, Murta uses her delayed final action.

She forces the two orbs together, and immediately points her hands up toward the Draogn.

The two orbs cancel each other out and an Orange beam shoots out from where they were. The beam envelops the Dragon. After the huge amount of energy is gone, so is the Dragon.

“What was that?” Duakt asks.

“Something you should never do.” Murta answers, “Quickly, let’s get to the ports!”

Why not use the sliph or teleport? “Because they obviously can track us whenever we manipulate time and space.

Soon thereafter, hordes of people started charging at you from the city. Murta urges everyone on a ship, casting defensive spells at them.

Murta is able to fling energy at the people to hold them back at will.

The Ship in front of you is a 3 mast ship. However, it looks as though mechanical parts are in places where people should be stationed. Up by the Wheel, there are a series of levers and switches, the likes of which you have never seen before.

“Gnomes…” Dukat comments.

Once you board the ship, Murta makes her way to the wheel and throws a lever. You hear levers and gears turn in the bowels of the ship. Suddenly sails are deployed, and the ship launches from the dock and into the ocean, away from everyone else. The ship you are on is faster than the ones chasing you. It was made by gnomes after all.

Once you get cleared… Murta steps down to the center of the ship.

Murta flicks her wrist, and an orange magical shell envelops the ship before disappearing. “This will keep them from tracking us.” Murta says.

She stands over Anui, who has been unconscious through this whole entire ordeal. She puts her hands over her and channels some energy into her. Anui wakes up.

Murta walks up to the bow slowly. You can tell that she does not appear to be well.

When asked what’s wrong, she says that “My song is ending soon. I combined both Elements and Anti-Elements… and no one is meant to do that.”

She looks forward into the horizon. “We go west, to the forgotten land of the Outer Continent.”

She looks forward into the horizon. “Once you get there, go to the south west Mountains… He is there in them living like a hermit like Mirdan said.”

How do you know this?

“I can see him. I can see the whole of reality.” She says.

She walks back to the center of the ship. Her face is very pale. She turns to look at you all… her final words are, “Find Xeck…”

Her skin starts to glow orange. Seconds later, it’s like her body is leaking the orange energy like a sift. She looks at her hands which are now giving off this strange energy. Her breaths become deeper and quicker.

Then in an abrupt event, it’s like the parts of her where her flesh is exposed, energy erupts from her, causing an elemental chaos around you. The Energy erupts like a volcano high into the air.

Soon the violent elemental storm seizes, and the only thing left of Murta is what she was wearing which has now fallen to the floor. Her Pendant of the First order is now Orange instead of Purple.

You now must traverse the vast ocean, alone.

Two or three months have passed. Dukat Demmar was able to animate a crew of undead to take care of the ship so no one else had too. Food and water were simply conjured up. Supplies weren’t an issue. It was time.

Having a litch onboard made everyone on edge. However Dukat didn’t threaten or even appear to cross you at all during this long journey. He mainly kept to himself. He seemed to be used to waiting around for long periods of time. He was in the Tower of Time and Space for over a thousand years after all. Despite that, Aura kept a watchful eye on him and the undead crew.

He did demand taking the Captains Quarters however, since he was “leading” the “crew”.

Aiden and Phacia stayed in the Officers cabin, while Tordek, Anui and Taliana used the hammocks on the crew deck.

Dukat also suggested the name for the ship. He wanted to call it “The Black Robe” But it was ultimately decided to call it the “Murta LeStrata.”

There wasn’t any encounters of note. However one day a Kraken did attack. But the action was short lived. Dukat simply said, “Die.” And that was the end of that.

Fed up with the boredom, Tordek pulled out the deck of Illusions one day to play cards with. It provided for interesting card games. Also the use of instruments was widely used. Aiden with his Lute, and Tordek with his spoons. Taliana hated the spoons.

Occasionally you would catch Anui sobbing to herself, obviously about recent events. Whenever anyone asked she wiped away her tears and said she was fine.

People started getting restless.

Tordek desperately wanted to practice his axe play against something. Finally Dukat animated an undead swordsmen. Tordek reluctantly agreed. Finally Tordek found satisfaction from killing the undead.

Then one day, near the end of the third month, the most anticipated words were yelled out for all to hear. It was a relief for everyone to finally hear these words that they fell in love with long before they were spoken. And now that they were spoken, almost everyone jumped for joy. “Land Ho!”

The enthusiasm was short lived though, as the reality of what laid ahead settled in. Everyone soon went serious. The Time had finally arrived. The fate of the Universe was on their shoulders. Everyone then almost missed the time away in the ship. Almost.

The LeStrata anchors off shore. Dukat leaves his undead to crew the ship.

By now, Magical energy has drained to the point where low level spells (such as 0th through 4th level spells) don’t work through normal effort. And Higher level spells (5th through 9th) require far more concentration than needed before.

DM note: 0th to 4th level spells require a 5th level spell slot to work as normal. 5th level spells and higher require concentration checks to use. 5th level spells requiring DC 15, 6th DC 20, 7th DC 25, 8th DC 30, and 9th DC 35. Permanent Spells no longer work, as they too require concentration that is not present.

You fly ashore.

Or…

You take the Long Boat.

The wilderness before you is rolling grassland, wild animals which who have not seen the like are roaming around. Everything here, from grass and plants to the animals and birds in the sky, seems bigger than the West Continent.

The most impressive sight you see is large four legged beasts that have large furry manes, some with two horns sticking out of the sides of their heads. There are huge herds of these creatures numbering in the hundreds. They all roam as one, feeding off of the grassland.

Overhead, you occasionally see the largest eagles you have ever seen soaring through the sky, hunting for prey. Their size rivals that of a Roc’s.

Despite the few familiarities, this world is very alien to the one you have come from.

Everything is new. This is indeed the New World. The Outer Continent.

As you travel, eventually notice something rather important about the life here. None of the animals and other wildlife have “Green Eyes”

Everything here seems to be free from the AntiLord’s control.

Your main problem right now is the lack of knowledge on where you are.

Discern location doesn’t seem to work on the location of Xeck, but if used on the cave that you saw in the vision it will point the PC’s in the right direction.

If not, Locating Phantoon will give Dukat a frame of reference to work with. From there, he can tell where the south west mountains are on the continent.

Among your travels you come across a tribe of natives. Like all the wild life around them, they do not appear to be affected by the AntiLords Influence.

They seem as alien to you as you surely do to them. You all draw stares. They speak a language you don’t understand.

If comprehend language is used, the only useful information they can give you is that their Elder is a “Seer.”

Note: if they speak to the Village Elder, He will be able to point you to Xeck via pscionic ways.

They point you to a temple in the mountains to the south west.

SPECIAL EVENT:

When the part is sleeping. On Phacia’s watch…

You are wakened suddenly by a bolt of Fire. Dukat and Phacia are facing each other, with weapons drawn. Phacia has a burn mark where the bolt of fire went into her.

Phacia is standing over Aiden.

“Aiden, this monster has turned on us.”

Dukat growls and responds, “It is she that is the traitor. She pulled out her knives as soon as everyone was fast asleep. She was going to kill you, Magnus. You forget that I do not require sleep, so I witnessed the entire thing.”

Phacia responds in earnest, “He Lies Aiden! I saw him get up and ready a spell and I got in the way before he could cast it.”

Dukat retorts back, “She is an AntiLing, not your true Beloved. I have helped you this far, why would I turn on you now?”

Phacia turns to Aiden, “You saved me from them Aiden, Trust me.”

The PC’s must make sense motive checks if they are to determine who is telling the truth. If they fail, they will not be able to tell who is lying or is telling the truth. Each PC gets a separate check for Dukat and Phacia.

If they are successful, they will be able to tell that Dukat is telling the truth, and Phacia is lying.

When things start appearing that Phacia is found out, Phacia reveals her true nature.

Suddenly you see Phacia’s eyes glow green. She turns to you and places a hand on Aiden, saying, “Destroy!”

Aiden must make a Fort Save or be utterly destroyed.

Encounter Anti-Phacia

Phacia must be destroyed.

END SPECIAL EVENT:

As you travel south, you notice the land getting hillier. Eventually you come across a HUGE mountain range.

Eventually after traveling for countless miles, you finally see a temple, right where you knew it was going to be, between two peaks. The outside of the temple looks like it was carved out of the Mountain itself, with the inside as rocky as the outside.

You enter the massive opening to the Temple. Inside, there was only one man; a monk.

He had short Brown hair that came up in spikes. He wore a white two peace Gi. On the right breast of the Gi was the Symbol of Nytro with an unknown symbol on top of that. There was a like symbol on the left side only near the bottom of the top. The seam to the Gi was button down the middle. The collar portions were black, as well as the seam down the middle, as well as the ends of the cuffs of the shirt sleeve. He looked to be about in his early to mid twenties.

He was in deep mediation sitting cross-legged with his palms face up on his knees… 3 feet off the ground. Above each of his open palms, were two green glowing orbs of energy orbiting each other.

At the sight of him, you feel like you are twenty pounds lighter.

“Strange… I have never gotten visitors here before.” The man.

He opened his eyes. For a moment, they were glowing green. He let his feet touch the ground, and the four orbs disappeared as he closed his fists.

“I suppose there is a first for everything,” He said, “Anyways, welcome young adventurers. My name is Xeck Eternity, and this is my Temple of Meditation. How can I help you?”

You have green eyes!

“Yes, I do. I get them from my Father, I think.” Xeck explains.

If weapons are drawn.

“So you have come looking for a fight, have you?” Xeck says calmly as he holds his hands behind his back.

You being controlled by the Anti Lord!

“Who is the AntiLord?” Xeck asks.

We have come for your assistance.

“What kind of assistance do you think a hermit like me can provide for strong adventurers yourself?”

The Antiverse.

Xeck raised an eyebrow, “Antiverse?”

Anti Lord.

“Latley I have been having these troubling dreams. Some new threat that is threatening, time itself. ”

“It must be this ‘Anti-Verse’ that is weakening the Mother Tree.”

“I have felt a powerful, foreign source of Nytro Energy envelop the world.”

“The Mother Tree Balances Life on this World. It drains the excess elemental energies from the world so that it does not become unstable.”

“The Mother Tree is protecting the life that lives on this continent from foreign Nytro Energies. Though now that it is weakening, that protection may not last.”

We were informed that you could do something about this.

“I am but a man. There is little one man can do… ”

“The Mother Tree Might be key to stopping this whole thing. But She alone cannot stop this. She is only a key to the world, not the whole of life.”

“However…”

However?

Xeck sighs, like he regretted this day would come.
“However… there may be something that can stop this. We must travel north. There is an Artifact there we need. It will help us.”

What is it?

“There are supreme deities that are known to few. They are above all others and they are responsible for the creation of the universe as we know it. The Xell TriDiamond and the Nytro TriDiamond. Xell provided the Universe with all the Elements, while Nytro provided the Universe with Space, Time and Thought. Both of them live on a Plane Higher than any other, but they have Material versions of themselves. Either one of them would be useful… but the Xell Tridiamond has been shattered and hidden across the globe.

Globe? The world isn’t round.

“Yes it is… now anyways… the Xell Tridiamond would be a waste of time finding. We don’t have the time, not do I know where all the pieces are. The Nytro Tridiamond however… It happens to be located on this continent, to the north. Whoever has it may have the power to control time, space and thought on a universal scale… I was chosen Long ago to be protector of said power, but I refused. IT was said that one day I would have no choice. Normally I would never even consider using it… but with the stakes as they are… we may not have a choice.”

So the PC’s and Xeck travel north to the northern mountains.

On your journey north, you come across the largest mountain range you have ever seen. If it wasn’t for Xeck’s guidance, you would have gotten lost in here. The Mountains up here are as Icey as the Glacerpeak mountains back home.

You soon come to a cave. As you walk in, you notice that the coldness seems to cease. It seems as though you have become lighter. And you seem to lose track of time in here, like your thoughts keep wandering to other things. It’s as if you could almost hear the thoughts of everyone around you.

“Don’t get distracted by it,” Xeck informs you, “You might end up staying in here a very long time if you did.”

Xeck leads you deeper into the cave.

You come across a most awe inspiring sight. In the Huge cavern before you, on the far sides of the wall, you see a colossal green crystalline structure protruding from the wall. You don’t think you have ever seen a crystal this large before. Even in Shiva’s Temple.

In the middle of this huge mass of Crystal, you can make out a woman, seemingly in a slumberous state, embedded in the Crystal.

“The Nytro TriDiamond.” Xeck Explains.

Who’s the Woman.

Xeck does his best to explain. Someone who has caused… you IS causing… a lot of grief. But nothing that needs immediate attention.”

Xeck walks up to the Face of the Crystal.

He sighs… and puts his hand on the face of the Crystal. His eyes start glowing green. You immediately notice that his close, hair and body become weightless. His whole body is enveloped in the Green Light.

The ground starts shaking.

From behind Xeck, Blinding light erupts into the room. A large creature emerges from the light.

The creature resembles a towering, powerfully built human with brilliant topaz eyes, silver skin, and gleaming white wings.

The Creature speaks in an unworldly voice, “ I am Solar! Protector of Nytro’s Avatar! If you want its power, you must go through me first!”

Encounter: Solar Angel.

During this whole Encounter, Xeck will be frozen in place having his hand on the Nytro Tridiamond.

The PC’s and company have to face this Angel by themselves. Solar has silver skin, is bald, and of course gleaming white wings. He wields a special composite long bow that can shoot slaying arrows and a “dancing” long sword, as well as a whole slew of Divine Powers.

Only after Solar is defeated does Xeck get unfrozen. Also, the TriDiamond glows, and a smaller crystal jewel emerges from it.

Solar tumbles backwards, clasping his chest. Breathless he mutters, “I have… failed…” before collapsing onto his knees. His body starts fading away, while simultaneously pyre flies start ejecting out of him, until there was nothing left of the Solar Angel.

Soon after, Xeck unfreezes from his former position and takes a step back. At the same time, the place where he touched starts glowing.

Out of the glowing crystalline structure emerge 3 floating Diamond-like crystals, arranged in a Y formation. From the center of the three crystals was glowing green light.

“The Nytro TriDiamond.” Xeck comments.

You all step forward, hoping to get a better look. Just then, Time seemed to have slowed to an almost standstill state. Your perceptions don’t change, but your motor skills seem to be going in slow motion, slowing down to a crawl.

You hear the familiar clap of an Anti-Rift forming from behind. Only a moment later, the Anti-Lord appears in front of you. You each try to react to him, but again your body seems to go in extreme slow motion.

Nothing you do seems to be any help.

“I have said before that I can control Space AND Time around me.” He says as he steps up to the Nytro Tridiamond floating right there in front of you.

“You have done well in finding this most sacred artifact for me. I might kill you all now… but I think it will be more exciting to see your reaction to what is to come.”

He laughs diabolically.

He grasps the Nytro Tridiamond, despite looking like it is three separate objects, it moves as one.

“The End of Time is now upon us.” He says before blinking out.

As soon as the Rift closes, time moves normally again. You can all move freely.

This Sucks.

Xeck stumbles back, like he got hit in the head with something.

What is it?

“That Dream…” Xeck says, “That dream is coming true…”

Xeck turns to look at you.

“I know where the Anti-Lord is.” Xeck comments.

Where?

“The Anti-Lord plans on Ending Time at the top of the Mother Tree!” He says urgently, “That is where we must stop him! Can you Teleport us there Aiden?”

Should Teleportation be tried here, the PC’s will find that any type of inter-dimensional travel does not work.

“Crap…” Xeck comments, “The Anti-Lord Possesses the Nytro Tridiamond. He is using it to prevent any kind of magical Inter-dimensional travel.”

Xeck sits down onto the ground. “We don’t have much time before he can end the world. Walking definitely won’t get us there in time, and magical flying wouldn’t either even if magic worked right now.”

Xeck enters meditation.

What can be done?

After a moment, Xeck speaks. “There might be a way to get there in time.”

“I could focus my abilities, and manipulate Time and Space so that we could travel there almost instantly. Doing this could be dangerous.”

How many times have you done this before?

“This will be my first.” He says.

Xeck, still closing his eyes, “Everyone, grab a hold of me.”

After you do so, he starts concentrating. Almost Immediately, wind in the cavern you are in starts picking up. Small debris starts circling you. Everyone is enveloped in a green light that slowly got brighter in slow pulses. Each time the world around you fades away more and more. Before long, it comes back into view… only this time it is a different back ground.

You find yourself at the base of the largest tree you have ever seen… EVER. Tthe Trunk towers high into the air, and branches extend outward for miles.

Xeck stumbles back a bit, winded from his effort.

After a moment, he regains his composure.

“Let’s get to the Top!” he says.

He starts for an opening at the base of the tree, that acted as the mouth to some sort of interior cavern.

Before you can continue further, you run in face to face with the green eyed Seven Handles.

Mikku, Oris, Argus, Kir, Mirdan, Felinara, and Xeik.

All of them look serious, except for Xeik, who holds a smirk on his face.

“Well, if it isn’t my old buddy, Xeck. I haven’t seen you in ages.”

“Xeik…” Xeck comments, “And Mirdan of course. Nice to see you two again after all these years.”

The Dragon Paladin remarks, “Can’t say that I feel the same way. You aren’t doing what the Anti-Lord wants. We are here to keep you all from going further.”

The Seven Handles all draw there weapons.

As you all ready your weapons, Xeck steps in front of you, gesturing you back.

“Sheath your weapons, friends…” Xeck commands, “I’ll handle them.”

You can almost see the veins appear on Xeik’s temples.
He Barks back, “Handle us? Handle US!?”

“Let me tell you something, Monk. WE are the Seven Handles! We will teach you some respect!”

Xeik Gestures with his hands at the other six.

“Kill him!” He roars.

Encounter starts.

Mikku, Argus and Felinara charge at Xeck. Mikku leading, jumping from shadow to shadow, disappearing in them.
Suddenly, Mikku appears behind Xeck, about to commit a Coup de grace on him from behind. She is interrupted by a back fist to the face, sending her to the ground, apparently unconscious.

Argus jumps high into the Air.

Before Felinara gets to Xeck, Kir shoots a barrage of arrows his way.
Xeck put’s out his hand, and the arrows seem to stop right there in front of him. Suddenly the Arrows shatter right there in mid air, and the shockwave continues until it puts Kir on his back, knocking the wind from his lungs at the least.

Just before Felinara gets into range, Oris casts a divine spell far more powerful than any of you have ever seen (minus the antics done by Anui). A circle of pearl like objects shoot out from Oris’ outreached hand and sales to Xeck.
Xeck seems to bat at the spell with his left hand extended to a knife-hand. His whole wrist was enveloped with a green energy. When his knife hand strike meets the Holy Pearl Spell, the pearls are torn apart and their energy twists into that of the energy that was around Xeck’s forearm, and forms a wake of energy in front of him.
He then uses his right arm and does a palm heal strike on the new waking energy that was resulted from that clash. His own strike aimed the wake of energy back at Oris. The backlash envelops Oris, and she drops from where she stood, and onto the ground.

Felinara enters melee with Xeck, duel wielding two Otan blades. She commits to a sword dance with death, moving faster than you have ever seen… that is except for Xeck, who dodges every single strike and slash with those swords.

Once he sees an opening, which none of yall caught. He commences some sort of hundred fist technique on Felinara at such speed, all you see is a blur of his arms.

Felinara drops to the ground.

Just then, out of the sky, seemingly out of nowhere, Argus seems to meet his halberd with Xeck and continues all the way to the ground.

It seemed like a lethal strike was given to Xeck by Argus. But only a split second later, you realize that all he his was thin air, and the ground. Xeck had managed to side step it so quickly it seemed to leave a brief after image.

Xeck back-hands Argus in the face, sending him flying for many feet before hitting the ground.

Just as he hits the ground, Mirdan finishes conjuring a spell. He extends both his hands yelling out, “Ultima!”

Suddenly the area around you goes dark. A piercing purple beam of light shoots from the sky and nails Xeck, right where he stood. As soon as it connected, a Purple Explosion, spherical in shape erupted all around him. Everything outside the dark orb got pulled into it.

You manage to stay outside of it but only just, thank the spirits. Finnally the dark orb collapsed in on itself, thereby ending the spell.

It was probably the most frighteningly impressive spell you have ever seen.

After the deadly spell rests, there was nothing but smoke left, where Xeck once stood.

Because, after he got hit with it, he finally used his turn and ran up to Mirdan, punching him right in the diaphragm. Mirdan grabbed his stomach as he fell to the ground.

All within a few seconds, six of the seven handles were handled by Xeck.

Xeik, the Dragon Paladin started stroking his goatee.

He then finally admits, “Okay so maybe you have some skill.”

Xeik reaches up over his shoulder and draws the Oreah Blade.

The unique ring of the blade can be heard.

Xeik charges at Xeck. Swing after swing, Xeck dodges the Oreah blade with blurred movement.

Xeck counters with a flurry of blows, each dodged or blocked by the Oreah blade.

The exchange continues for a moment, before Xeck lands a few blows onto Xeik.

Xeik stumbles back a bit. He wipes the blood from his chin. He regains his composure, and starts again, this time with a renewed sense of determination.

Again, Xeck dodges a few swings until one of them he had to block with the side of his hand.

They back away from each other. At first it looks as though the hand was unwounded. But then trickles of blood started dripping down to the ground.

Xeik gave a slight smirk, and the two went at it again. This time, Xeck seemed a bit slower than before. Xeck was now blocking instead of dodging attacks.

“It’s that sword that Xeik carries.” Dukat mentions, “I think the blade did more than just cut Xeck. It must be infused with raw Xell energy.”

Sure enough, each time Xeik’s blade made physical contact with Xeck, Xeck slowed down even more, like his energy was being drained away.

Before long, Xeik was able to slash a wound on Xeck’s arm.

Xeck stumbled back.

“Handle me, will you?” Xeik smiled, “I sure wiped the smile off your face, didn’t I?”

That was when Xeck smiled. Xeik stopped.

Xeck then said, “I didn’t want to have to do this my friend. I don’t know if you’ll survive this but I don’t have time to be careful with you.”

“Bold words, Xeck.” Xeik responded.

Xeck tensed up and started channeling energy around him. His eyes started glowing green. Pretty soon, you could see a green aura around him.

Xeik again charges at Xeck, both hands gripping the Oreah Blade. He yells, “The Oreah Blade will not allow you to!”

Xeik leaps into the air toward Xeck. With a mighty effort, he swung the blade as hard as he could at Xeck.

Xeck, sliced at the blade with a knife hand strike. At that moment, the Aura around Xeck focused onto his forearm that was striking the blade. When the two met, a fissure of orange energy erupted from that point.

Both Xeck, and Xeik flew in opposite directions away from the fissure of energy. They both land hard many yards away.

After the fissure dies out, you run up to Xeck, who is lying on the ground. He is missing the forearm that he used against the Oreah blade that caused the fissure.

Xeck opens his eyes, “I guess the Oreah blade protected him after all…”

Xeck drifts away for a second, and then opens his eyes again. He says, “Stop him… somehow… stop him… whatever it takes…” before fading away.

“We better go before they wake up,” Anui comments, gesturing to the unconscious Seven handles.

You enter the Mother Tree. Inside, you see what looks like an interior layer of the tree that spirals upward, that acts as a makeshift stairwell.

The climb upwards takes hours.

You come to a place where everything flattens out temporarily. Another Spiral continues upwards on the opposite side of the “room.”

However standing there in the way is a dwarf in full plate armor, with the symbol of Nytro on his shield, holding a well made looking long sword.

“Sorry Tordek, even though we are brothers, I cannot allow you to pass.” Grimace says before getting into a fighting stance, “It will not be like last time Brother, the Anti-Lord has given me new abilities to combat you all. Prepare to die.”

Encounter: Grimace, Anti-Cleric.

Since the last encounter, The Anti-Lord has bestowed Grimace with more abilities, namely Paladinic powers along with his Clerical powers. So in addition to Divine Magic of a 20th Level Cleric, he is bestowed with smiting strikes as well as a celestial steed. That coupled with a vorpal sword as well as decked out in the best enchanted equipment, makes this the Ultimate Boss Battle.

Grimace will start off by summoning his celestial steed, which will be an Anti-Ling Hound.

Once he mounts his steed, he will show off his Smiting Xell ability. Works like Smite Evil only that it works on all the PC’s regardless of what alignment they are.

Grimace will try to kill everyone except Anui, who he wants to keep alive. Though he is not above disabling her.

After the encounter:

(example end:)Tordek’s Axe, slices through Grimace’s armor, and into flesh. Grimace collapses onto his knees. Grimace looks up into Tordek’s eyes. “Sorry, brother.” Before collapsing onto the ground, lifeless.

They way is opened for you.

As you climb, and are getting ever so closer to the top of this monstrous tree, you can hear chanting, echoing. Only it’s not echoing through the Mother Tree. These voices are being heard in your own heads.

At the top of the endless spiral, you find yourselves at the top of the trunk, where the last of the limbs of the Mother Tree branch outwards. This section gives a clear view of the sky overhead.

The Anti Lord is standing on a makeshift alter made from a tree branch with the Nytro Tridiamond floating above it. The Anti-Lord has his hand over it and is channeling energy into it.

The ground starts shaking.

“You are too late!” He announces, “Look above!”

As your vision drifts ever upwards, you noticed something foreign in the sky. It was like the moon, only it took up a much larger portion of the sky, and its features were vastly different.

The Colors of this new globe in the sky are distorted, almost inverted, and the outside glowing green.

The Anti-Lord walks down from the Alter.

“That!” The Anti-Lord answers, “Is my home world, all the way from the Antiverse. The perfect opposite of this one.”

“In mere moments… my home world will collide with yours. When that happens… they will cancel each other out… violently… When that much energy combines with that much anti energy, the shockwave will be so large… it will destroy everything in its path… getting stronger as it goes. Once it reaches the ends of this material plane… it will bleed into the Elemental planes, gaining even more power and continuing on to the outer planes and so on and so forth until all of the planes of this material existence cease to be. And that’s not the end of it. Once it consumes the astral plane, it will invert on itself and flow into the shadow planes and do the same in every other material plane... until all of reality… all of existence… all of time… simply end…”

Why?

“I can see through Time, probably more clearly than anyone else in existence due to my power. I see a future of the Great Apocalypse. A time where Time ends, like I am about to do. Only when I do it, it won’t be the end of me. Using this Tridiamond… I can ascend beyond time as consciousness alone and be free of this existence. And then I can create a Time of my own making by destroying this one… and preventing the Great Apocalypse that would happen otherwise.”

Overhead… the planet gets closer… the rumbling gets stronger.

“Unless the link is broken…” Xeck says as he comes up from the trunk. His arm is fully entact, though is missing cloth where it was disintegrated.

“That’s why you removed control over Anui… because you needed an anchor to this universe.”

“The Anti-Lord is like Anui… born with the mark. Only his is that of Nytro. With it, he was able to conquer his entire universe. Just as if Anui put her mind to it… she could do the same in this one.”

The Anti Lord gapes, “How… did you know?”

Xeck responds, “This tree you are on… the Tridiamonds… So much mastery over Space, Time… and your greatest strength and greatest weakness… Thought. The Mother Tree told me your thoughts... And its thoughts… The Link is between you and Anui. Everyone has an opposite. You two are nothing alike. Without one of you… the other cannot exist. Not in the same universe anyways. None of this can exist. The Veil between this universe and the Anti-Verse are between Anui and the Anti-Lord, through the Tridiamond.”

Anui looks between Xeck and AntiLord. She then turns to you, “Kill me! Save the Universe! This is bigger than me!”

Anui takes out a Dagger.

The Anti-Lord whips out his hand and the dagger flies from her finger tips.

“Oh no you don’t!”

Anui is bound in some sort of telekinetic field, so she can’t move.

Her Forhead starts glowing.

“That won’t work! Even if you had mastery over your power, I have the Advantage.” The Anti-Lord declares.

Then the binding field stops.

“What!?”

Xeck is over the Tridiamond. He’s channeling his energy into it.

“I have also touched the Tridiamond… I am not without some control.”

The surroundings start changing and distorting, almost like a white fog. Suddenly, you feel all your magical powers come back to you in a rush. The sensation was almost painful.

Xeck’s voice continues, “I have used the Tridiamond to bring everyone here into the Anti-Lord’s mind through the plane of dreams. His own realm so to speak. Here he doesn’t have the advantage. However I am using all my willpower to suppress the Anti-Lords control over the Tri-Diamond. It is up to you!”

The Anti-Lord materializes a staff sword hybrid looking thing, in his hands.

“You may have your abilities back, but that does not by any means mean you have a chance against me!”

Epic Encounter: Anti-Lord (inside his own mind)

This will be the final boss of the campaign, however by no means the end… not yet.

After the encounter.

The Anti-Lord crumbles to his knees. However this is short lived. The symbol on his forehead glows. He gets up onto his feet.

“I just have to hold you for a moment longer!” He says.

Suddenly, you feel the magic leave your bodies again. The sensation was draining.

“Great,” Dukat comments.

Anui turns to the AntiLord, her symbol glowing. Antilord shoots green energy at Anui, she holds it back using her own purple energy. Between the clashing of the two, orange energies clashes around.

Rumbling gets stronger. There is an elemental Chaos roaring everywhere, keeping anyone from reaching them. The Inverted planet is getting closer. Xeck is occupied suppressing the Nytro TriDiamond. Anui and AntiLord are keeping each other busy.

All three are protected by some sort of telekinetic barrier.

Out of the chaos… rips in the fabric of reality start forming. Some large, some small. One in the form of a Sphere of Annihilation.

If the PC’s try to use the sphere, they will have a few options on how to use them. They try to move it towards the two obvious targets, Anui or AntiLord. Then there is a less obvious choice… the Nytro Tridiamond. If any of these three are destroyed the link is destroyed, and the day is saved.

The easiest thing to do is use them on Anui, because she herself will help you move it towards her. The Hardest thing to do would be to use it on the AntiLord, because he is working directly against you. This is all but impossible as his level and intelligence score is way higher than the PC’s. The middle option is using it on the TriDiamond. It will be a bit more difficult to do than Anui, but easier than Anti-Lord because it is unexpected.

This is where Aidens Talisman of the sphere comes in handy.

Dioluge can be exchanged during the struggle to control the sphere of annihilation.

Durring the struggling of the minds, the Anti-Lord turns to you. “So… In your final act… is murder… but which one of us?”

Anui Talks back, “Don’t listen to him guys, it is for the fate of the universe.”

Xeck comments, “Hurry… Can’t hold this thing back forever!” His nose starts to bleed.

Three outcomes can come from this.

Bad outcome… Anui dies.

Antilord will recoil in pain. All the Nytro energies will rush back into him. The Antiplanet will drift away and disappear. The Antilord will erupt in a ball of light. His will is removed from the world… the world is saved.

Other bad outcome… used on Antilord.

His arm gets desentegrated… he shifts his will towards the spheres. The Spheres suddenly go in every direction. PC’s need to make a reflex save, or be annihilated. Anui will Take the opportunity to make her way to the Antilord. Her Glyph will glow and so will Antilords. The two will cancel each other out. The Antiplanet drifts away and disappears. Antilords will is removed from the planet… the world is saved.

Good outcome. Nytro Tridiamond is destroyed.

The Antipanet will stop coming towards the planet and drift away. Both AntiLord and Anui recoil in pain. Their energies are being expelled from themselves. Elemental Chaos ensues. The Antilord fades away… the scene calms down.

Anui is Alive, but without the holy mark on her forehead.

Teleportation is now possible.

But what of the PC’s?

If used on the Nytro Tridiamond.

The Sphere makes contact with the Nytro Tridiamond. The artifact winks out of existence. All hell breaks loose. Xeck stumbles back to avoid the sphere.

The Telekinetic field snaps, as well as the energies between Anui and the Anti-Lord. Both the symbols on their foreheads fade away, as energy is being expelled from them.

The Plannet overhead reverses direction. And soon after that is fades away into nothing.

“The link is broken!” Xeck states, “Back into the Anti-verse, Anti-Lord! Back into hell!”

The Surrounding scenario seems to start whitening out.

The Anti-Lord responds, “You are still in my mind. You’ll die too!”

Xeck looks resolute, “I know…”

The Anti-Lord recoils in pain, and screams a most agonizing scream. His visible body fades away into nothingness.

The surrounding area… the plane of the Anti-Lord starts to collapse around you. Soon, the view of the outside world is blocked out by the white out. You all start to feel pain. You too are starting to fade away.

Xeck turns to you, “I’m sorry. I’ve done everything I can.”

This is the end.

The Staff of Magnus glows.

As the realm around you gets smaller and smaller, and the pain is starting to get unbearable, something happens.

It’s almost as if wind was picking up. Right there in front of you, a ring on 9 lights starts slowly pulsing into view.

Soon the ring of lights brings with them something solid. Some sort of Metal ring in which the 9 lights are on the outside of. The metal ring is filled with symbols all over it.

It’s a dimensions gate!

The Staff of Magnus, reacts to the subconscious will of Aiden. The Gate starts spinning.

One by one, as the ring reverses direction, 8 symbols eventually appear.

You can now see through yourselves… there isn’t much time.

The Gate Activates.

Right through the portal of the ring, you can see it… the Time Vortex. Energy constantly pulling and spinning.

“Get through!” Dukat yells.

It’s hard to move, as everyone is already partially faded away from existence.

Before you can get to the event horizon of the gate, your energy leaves you. You can’t make it.

Dukat yells, as he concentrates on his will. He brings up a hand. He casts Gust of wind.

Being faded as you are, you must be much lighter, as all of you get taken by the gust of wind, right into the Dimentions gate.

You feel a jerk. There is a still moment in time, where you can see through the time vortex. This is not like it was before. You move through a conduit of the Time Vortex. Looking behind you, you can see the Breach to the Antiverse, being sucked closed, until it was no more. The Conduit that you are traveling through, its source is no more, and it starts collapsing. You are moving through the rapid turns of the vortex through time and space, the nothingness is catching up to you.

Just as it would envelop you, there is a blink of bright white light.

You all tumble down the ramp in front of the Dimentions gate. The Gate crackles. Electricity arcs between the surfaces of the gate, over the Event Horizon. The Time Vortex through the gate brightens before, suddenly turning off completely, in a loud crackle. The room goes dark. The Gate has turned off.

You regain your senses. You are in the tower of Time and Space. Everyone in the room is as solid as they can be. Dukat didn’t make it through.

You look outside, from this view, the foreign world was no longer right above, but off to the west, and only one side of it was in view, the rest being blocked out by the horizon.

The Planet fades away into nothingness.

The rumbling stops.

Everything calms down.

Silence envelops everything.

“Did… the Litch just save us at the expense of himself?” Someone asked.

Only moments later, you hear a simultaneous cheer from everyone outside. For you to hear it, the whole city of Kreid must be cheering.

You all collapse onto the ground, fully exhausted.

It is over.

A short time later. You are not sure how long because you were sleeping. Mirdan’s messenger bird finds you.

It disintegrates into ashes, the ashes fall into place as a parchment. The Message reads, by order of King Emperor Tiernas, you are to report to Griffin Palace at once.

Each one of you got one.

Griffin palace.

Unlike before, the hallways are lined with Griffin Guard. There is not a place to step in between them, all the way up to the Throne Room.

Standing at the Door to the Throne room was General Aurther. As you step closer, he looks you over up and down, before opening the door.

“Presenting to High Highness, Saviors of the Universe, The Dragon Paladin Tordek, The Divinly Beautiful Aura, High Sorcerer Aiden Auditore, Master Archer Taliana,(The Chosen One, Anui) and the Master Nytro Elemental Monk, Xeck.”

The Audric Tiernas rises from his throne at the entrance of you. All Seven Handles were there, beside the king as well.

“Step forward.” Tiernas commands.

As you do so, he commands, “Kneel, Tordek, Aiden, Aura, Taliana, (Anui), Xeck.”

You hear the ring of steel being unsheathed. Audric drew forth his long sword.

“I heard there was a Litch with you…” The King Emperor comments, “Of all beings to help you. But I do not see him here.”

“My messenger Bird could not find him, your highness.” Mirdan explained behind him.

The King turns back to you all. “I see… well… before now, the deeds you all have committed would earn you all a fate that now seems unworthy of what you deserve.”

“I will not knight you as Griffin Guard.” He commands.

“The only thing left that I can possibly do…” He starts.

He Places the flat of the blade to each of your shoulders, “Rise, Lord Tordek, Dragon Paladin. Rise Lord Magnus, High Sorcerer. Rise Lady Auristrix, majestic Gold Dragon. Rise Lady Taliana, Master Archer. Rise Lady Anui, the Chosen One, And Rise Lord Xeck, Master Nytro Elemental Monk.”

“You have all earned rewards greater than I can possibly give you. But what I can do is give you land. You will each own a region of land in the Kingdom of Tiernas. With that land will be subjects and servants to run the land for you. You can do with it as you will, as long as it doesn’t compromise the security of the Southern Alliance.”

“Your Highness…” Xeck speaks.

“Yes, Lord Xeck?” Audric responds.

“Thank you for your generosity, but I do not need land to rule. I will be content to go back to my temple in the New World and meditate. Your most gracious sentiments are greatly appreciated. But I must humbly decline.”

“I see…” Audric raises an eyebrow.

...

This would be the time for the PC's to decline his offer or not. If Tordek declines, Tiernas will offer him a brewery instead.

...

Xeck says his goodbyes, and then walks down the hallway. It almost seemed like he just faded away again, like he has done for a thousand years.

Anui turns to the PC's. She says that ever since her mark was gone, she no longer had any powers, devine or otherwise. She thanks the PC's but she also says that she is retiring from adventuring. She doesn't know what her future goal is, but for the first time she seems to have no worries. She tells them good luck.

...

Outside in the city wasa a grand celebration. In a public display, Audric Tiernas gave the remaining PC's a (metal) for their accomplishments.

Everyone cheered...

The End.

To be continued in, Finding Phacia.

Nam Comments here.

In the real story, Goldfinch will not be inside the NytroTriDiamond.

She dies in another part of the world, not the Outer Continent, and is buried in Heaven's Cemetary in the West.

It's not until 1800 AD (in Nubian's story), when miners in the northern region discover her crystallized body that anyone knows that she ended up in the Outer Continent.

Only the PC's know of this place. no one else has to know

You're talking about "the PCs," so it's not clear if you're talking just about your Dungeons & Dragons story, or if you're talking about the real story.

Remember that I'm commenting about the real story, not your Dungeons & Dragons story.

I don't know if "the PCs" exist in the real story.

...

In your story, the character Xeck ( not just "the PCs" ) knows Goldfinch's location.

That won't be true in the real story, because there's no reason for him to know that, unless Xeck is somehow supposed to be omniscient, which would be news to me.

No, he is not omniscient. He only knows of the location of the Tridiamond because he was told in people eve, that like his brother, he was suppose to be a dimensional protector. In his case, he was suppose to be the protector of the Nytro Tridiamond. Also in his case, Xeck refused. But he was also warned that someday, he will be forced to use it. ever since then, he lived as a hermit, never interfering with the outside world unless it was absolutely necessary.
Anyways, that is how he knows the location of the TriDiamond. After that, he only recognizes Gold Finch when he sees her. He remembers well what she represents.

As far as the player characters are concerned. There very influence in the story is not a certainty. The way I see it, since they do travel in time, they are visitors to our established timeline, and therefor not necessarily an integral part. Meaning they could or could not be part of the original story. It can be like they never existed if need be. But at the same time they do provide new ideas for our story.
