The Next Campaign

What will history bring?

Mixed theme Idea [The Gods of War]: [archeologists] find a dimensions gate under a cover stone. After years of deciphering the cover stone, they believe they are close to discovering on how to use it. They hire the PC's to act as body guards for the scholars they plan on sending through.

On the other side, the PC's find themselves trapped in a world enslaved by 4 Gods of War. With no immediate way of activating the Dimensions Gate on that side, they are forced to contend with this new world.

The Citizens of this world have been enslaved by the Gods of War for countless generations. The PC's arrival has inadvertently caused things to get worse between the Citizens and the Gods of War. The PC's must somehow save them from their menace.

Phylactery of Leadership: Unknown to the world, is a conduit to the power of the Xell Tridiamond, or Xell himself.

Dungeons... The PC's must venture forth to 3 dungeons, each containing an artifact that when used in conjunction open the seal to the sacred temple, which is said to contain an Object of Evil's Bane. More specifically, an object which could free the "People's Hero", the Great Monkey-King.

Tis been a while since I have used Dungeons. Yes... 3 Dungeons.

The Artifacts are as follows: The Gauntlets of Strength, The Boots of Gallantry and The Circlet of Knowllege.

Gauntlets of Strength: Hands Slot; At First this pair of Gauntlets do little more mechanically than provide the wearer with a Devine Bonus to Strength equal to 1+ 1 per 3 character levels (maximum of +7 at 18th). Also objects with "The Devine seal" can be lifted by it (?)

Boots of Gallantry: Feet Slot; These Boots provide the wearer with the ability to haste a number of rounds a day equal to half her level (minimum of 1) At 5th level, they grand the wearer a +5 divine bonus to perception checks made to locate traps. At 10th Level, this bonus increases to +10. The wearer may also cast find traps once per day.

Circlet of Knowllege: Head slot; This circlet of knowledge grants the wearer a divine bonus to One (and only one)Mental Ability score of the wearer equal to 1 +1 per 3 character levels (maximum of +7 at 18th). In addition, once a day the wearer may make any knowledge check (even if untrained) with a + 5 divine bonus (+10 at lvl 15)

With these 3 artifacts in tow, the PC's may gain access to the depths of the Forrest of the Dead. The PC's will have to use each of the artifacts special abilities to find their way to the Ark of the Trinity. Inside, is the Phylactery of Leadership.

The Phylactery of Leadership: Neck Slot; It appears to be some kind of glowing 3 piece jewel encased in some kind of silver gold shell amulet. This Phylactery unknown to the world, is a conduit to the power of the Xell Tridiamond, or Xell himself.

This amulet gives the wearer a Divine bonus to Diplomacy checks equal to half their level.

This Phylactery of Leadership is capable of many things, including freeing the Great Monkey King himself; Skyrin the "Time" Blazer. "Hero" of the People.

The PC's make it to the Tower of War, where they must try and free the Legendary Hero and confront the Gods of War.

After another Dungeon in the shape of a tower, the PC's make it to the relic room. At the Center Lies a statue of the Monkey King himself. Other relics include a strange looking staff and a tablet.

The Phylactery of Leadership with free the Monkey King, this prompts the arrival of the Gods of War. The Monkey King takes the staff in the relic room, and uses it to the Gods of War's dismay.

After the 5 of them duke it out for a bit, One of the Gods of War realize that if the <Phylactery is released>, then they can leave the Island.  So the Gods of War flee. The Monkey King goes after them. The Tablet left in the relic room depicts the set of symbols needed for the Dimensions gate to work.

They need it though, as the island seems to be crumbling and sinking into the water. Sure enough, the tablet symbols work and the Gate activates.

When the PC's come back through though... things have changed... really changed... to make things worse, the Dimensions gate they came through disappears like it was never there.

The Xantonians are even more like a war like race and have successfully conquered Azzemour and Simya for a long time now. They have even erected a large wall that surrounds their new territory in Daksina and the Suddland.

The Very Fabric of Time has been changed. The PC's now find themselves in Alda Woods near a Felonian Tiger Tribe Village. They witness firsthand the Xantonian's cruelty as they take a female Felonian from her family and away. A young Felonian by the name of Xeik vows to save his best friend Callie from the clutches of the Xantonian Empire even if her has to take them on his own.

The first obstacle is getting past the Kobolts who play bandits to the only way out of Alda Woods.

The PC's find out that History has been altered somehow.

They will find a talisman that allows them access to "Gateless" Dimensions Gates. The first one will take them to the Tower of Time and Space, where they will meet Intervus Gilgamesh.

He greets them and shares that they are in the Temporal Energy Plane. He explains that history has altered significantly. The PC's seem to be the only ones from the correct timeline. The Use of the Dimensions gate seems to have protected them from the changes to the Timeline.

Gilglamesh is still trying to make heads or tails out of what happened, but he does now that Time seems to be fracturing. Events are unfolding in the wrong order, and it is causing all sorts of chaos in the universe.

The Dimensions Gates, in self defense it seems, started working together to form Gateless Dimension Gates. Intervus saw this and figured out a way to send the PC's the Gate Talisman to help them use it.
