umbralands

Lake Shadowrack: Cristal clear waters that the City of Shadowrack sits. It has an excellent view of the Mitte Mountains.

The Scar Desert: A region of land that kept getting exposed to the Veil. Even during the day time, it remains in perpetual darkness. Only those that know the terrain can easily navigate it, as the stars don't show either.

Forest of the Fey: A forest that has evolved existing near the scar for millennia, absorbing only hints of its magic at a time. As such, the forest is home to some unique creatures, such as Nymphs, Werebears, Pixies, Unicorns, Fairy Dragons. The Forest retains its allure even at night. It is said the gate to the mythical Alfeim exists in this forest.

Shadowrack Forest: The more well traveled Shadowrack forest is home to the major land trade route that links Shadowrack to St. Nons and the Mitt Mountain's southern path. It is home to many lumber mills, as these tall trees grow relatively quickly.

Steel Manor: In a more remote location of the Shadowrack Forest lies Steel Manor, home to Banion Steel. He owns most of the land near and around the mansion, and has allowed the forest to grow around it, giving it a creepy feel to it. It has said this manor has remained in is families care for hundreds of years. He usually doesn't get too many visitors, as they usually visit him in the city. The natural look of his property is in stark contrast to the business he runs.

Kings River: Longest River on record. Stats in the Obru Mountains in east Obru'Xant, and eventually follows the length of the Mitte Mountains all the way to the Ocean. It is used as a trade route by sea, effectively linking the three Kingdoms.

Saint Nons: Dominion settlement. This small Hamlet mostly sits upon a summit. A large city-castle over a massive waterfall. The city is built upon the rock face leading up to the summit as well as the summit itself. The City-castle is surrounded by farmlands as far as the eyes can see. This settlement is the main center for the worship of Sir Gawaine, The Avalon God of Agriculture. Not many people live in St. Nons itself but the farmland that surrounds it. the Hamlet serves as a gathering place for religious folk and those that want to wind down from a day or week of farming.

Netherdeep

----

Panga Lor Forest: A forest that dwells near Fort Brotherhood, albeit in the Netherdeep. It is currently being blocked off by a Fomorian who has taken residence here. In order to get deeper into the Netherdeep, it must be dealt with.

Sha'Lul Fendor: A City of Dark Fey that resides under the Umbralands in the Netherdeep. This is a city that trades with the outside world, and as such; are a little open minded about outsiders than other Drow. That is not saying much however, as many of the denizens would welcome the chance at enslaving an outsider out of their depth. Also, this is still a matriarchal society and the nobles have little patience for treating with males of any species, and usually respond better to females of any given race. Sha'Lul Fendor is also unlike other Drow cities, as there is a larger presence of arcane magic here. In fact the main spire acts as sort of a clock. It is lit by the arch mage himself in the mornings and gradually becomes dimmer as the day progresses. The two main holy temples here are of Elistrae,The Dark Maiden; the Dark Fey Goddess of Song, Dance, Beauty and Swordplay; as well as Areshka, The Faceless (six-legged) Sphinx; the Dark Fey Goddess of Arcane Magic, Wild Magic, Greed, Riddles and Knowledge.

Here in Sha'Lul Fendor, a big event is nearing. House Del'Bran is hosting a prestigious gathering of people of note for an auction of rare antiquities. The evening starts with an Illiyitrii (Drow Formal Dance), followed by the Auction. There are many valuable items in this auction, but the main event item is the Arkenstone Gauntlets. However, no one can just participate in the auction, they must first navigate the Illiyitrii without getting kicked out and get formally invited.

The Illiyitrii can be a very deadly affair if the PC's are not careful. There may be a beautiful noblewoman that tries to seduce one of the PC's but turns out that her end game is to take them back to her place to murder them with their actual spouse as part of a weird fetish of theirs. Some of the Courtiers have various political agendas and try to win the PC's over to their side, but turns out that they are considered heretical or treasonous. Another may try to drug one or more of the PC's drink to smuggle them back to their estate to hunt them for sport. Maybe the "of age children" of a noble house want to get handsy, but their mother wrote the book on torture.

However, the Illiyitrii can be fun as well. There is a Dance off, where the winner gets a small prize (a Spider broche or something), a kiss from the host/hostess, and a voucher for a free night of drinking at a local tavern. One of the musicians breaks a string on his violin, and urges the PC's help him find a replacement quickly. A duel may be declared for hitting on or chatting with the wrong Drow, and honor has to be satisfied. Possible gambling, maybe involving Sava, a game like chess. [Pawn=Slaves; Rook=Warrior; Knight=Mages, Bishop = Priestess; Queen= Champion; King=Mother]

There will be a Dark Fey here that while being from one of the more hostile and remote Drow houses from the North, he will seem the most charismatic and friendly to everyone. He however is here to steal the Arkenstone Gauntlets.

Lady Del'Bran: Matron of House Del'Bran. Her Family is known for acquiring items of significant value, to which they sell to the highest bidder, thus maintaining her house's reputation and status. Lady Del'Bran is open minded for a Drow, but only because it has turned her a profit over the years. She has worked hard for a very long time to grow her family's status and is willing to do anything to keep it that way.

House Do'Zorl: Another Noble House of the Drow. Their House has a more traditional Drow outlook, and thus hates any non drow, and most others for that matter. They join the Illiyitrii because status demands it. However, they try and make the most of it. They will be the ones that will slip drow poison in peoples drinks so that they can smuggle the victims back to their estate so that they may hunt them. Schala Do'Zorl, the Daughter of the house, appears to be the friendly one; getting close to the victim to slip them the drug. Zeal Do'Zorl's roll, the Father; is to carry the body away back to the estate. Lady Samele Do'Zorl is the mastermind, uses her status to scout out potential prey.

House Fey'Tibar: A Noble house that recently relocated from the south to Sha'Lul Fendor to escape scrutiny from her peers. They have a more peaceful outlook than more traditionalists. That being said, Lady Fey'Tibar is protective of her daughter, Ash. If she thinks anyone is trying to take advantage of her, she will likely kidnap them and torture them as slaves; even though it was probably her daughter that was handsy in the first place. Ash has a fondness of the more exotic.

House Kerst: A very controversial house. They are trying to garner support for their political views. They wish for the Drider Population to be reintegrated with the general population. Right now, they are considered outsiders and can really only make a living fighting in the pits. However most of Sha'Lul Fendor see the Driders as heretical, a window into the older, traditional ways. To even to suggest reintegration is borderline treasonous and heretical. Their house is the premiere employer of Driders in the fighting pits.

House Melaryn: An Atypical house by Drow Society. They run the Arcane Guild in Sha'Lul Fendor. Their house is the only noble house that doesn't have a Matron Mother, but is ran by a Male; Albus Melaryn; He is the Headmaster of the Arcane Guild, which affords him to keeping his house even though he is a widower. He has two Daughters, Cazna and Alystin. Cazna is shy and has not married, though secretly has a thing for their house's man-slave Ildan. However such a union is bellow her station. Alystin is a Priestess of Elistrae, and married to a Magus of the Arcane Guild, Filifar. They have both been trained in etiquette and protocol, and are usually the best dancers in any given Illiyitrii. Ildan is waiting to reclaim his honor so he can formally be accepted in their society so that Cazna and him can be together.

Master Myzzrim Del'Bran: Husband to Lady Del'Bran. He uses his Witt and Cunning to aquire items of value across the Netherdeep. He is a master Sava Player. It has gotten him out of executions of old Drow Society and now he uses it to further his goals and acquire items of import. He may do so to relieve a PC of one of their worldly possessions, or gold at the very least.

Jezzara Talnor: In a less noble house, but still of import. She is a maestro of a musician. However, she has a problem. A string broke on her harp and she doesn't have a replacement. She asks that you help her find one, as she can't leave the ball room without being rude. She is the Matron of the Spider's Web Inn.

House Menzo: While on the outside they appear to be friendly enough to outsiders, they actually have a wierd fetish where Miz'ri or Quill seduces people at high functions such as this and takes them back to a room or an estate so they can murder them while they are most vulnerable.

Sorin Sa'Bal: A Rare Drow indeed. He is one of the few Drow from a house from the long lost north. Normally outwardly hostile to other Drow, he seems to be the most charismatic out of the bunch. He secretly wants to steal the Arkenstone Gauntlets for himself to help the Orcs.
